We had an amazing time. Water park was so much fun.Beach and lake just as nice. Can't wait to return.
The place was extremely clean. Staff was very friendly. Good old time feel. Like taking a time machine back my youth, put the electronics away and enjoyed the natural surroundings. Canoeing, fishing, swimming, camping, sleeping under the stars. Just doesn't get better than this place. Melissa and her staff are outstanding. Starts with her...A+++.
This campground is really a 4.8. and one of the best we've been to. There is tons to do. They have two swimming pools, one which includes a water park for the kids. They have a lake which is separated for swimming and boating/fishing, and includes slides, Lilly pads and a rope swing. During the weekends they have kids activities every hour from noon until 8pm. Staff is very friendly and Amanda does great with different kids activities. Our only gripes are that some of the lifeguards are young, and do not do a great job at making sure the bigger kids aren't being too rough around the little kids. Several of the parks guests did not watch their kids, or refused to correct them when they were being disrespectful. They also don't allow or rent golf carts. After several days of walking, it would have been nice to have a ride. No Mini golf, which is not a big deal for us. Very quiet after sunset, and very relaxing. Bring bug spray. Highly recommend giving them a try though.
This campground is tucked away in any otherwise busy area. You wouldn't expect a campground to be here and away from the shore. As soon as you enter, you are taken away from the busy aspects of life and you are transformed into a beautiful retreat in the woods. They have a beautiful lake that you can use pedal boats and kayaks on. They have a large pool right next to the lake and a separate pool/ splash park for the little ones. If you are looking for a great place to camp with the drive and the crowds, this is heaven on earth! Highly recommended. We camped 3 times here and went seasonal right away, even though we only live a few miles away
My daughter came here for a church function and she had a great time. Very clean facilities. Showers, bathrooms well maintained. Beautiful lake and lots to do.
